Damn…Johny Hendricks went from welterweight world champ to middleweight punching bag in no time at all…
UFC Fight Night 112 went down this past Sunday night, with an entertaining line-up to offer. Featured in the main event was the lightweight clash between Kevin Lee and Michael Chiesa. The bout had a long beef behind it, but ended in a controversial manner.
Elsewhere we had Justine Kish literally pooping her pants against Felice Herrig. But today’s article looks at the ex-welterweight champion ‘Bigg Rigg,’ and his unfortunate run of luck this past week.
Returning for his second fight at middleweight, former 170-pound champion Johny Hendricks faced Tim Boetsch in Oklahoma. Things started terribly for Hendricks, who missed weight by two pounds for the bout.

Hendricks Misses Weigh & Gets Punished In Oklahoma
Although a slight betting favorite, Hendricks looked a little tubby and paid the price. ‘The Barbarian’ showed no mercy, and the finishing sequence was a typical Boetsch TKO. Grabbing Hendricks’ head and launching uppercuts, Boetsch scored a trademark finish.
Watch the video of the finish below:

Overall it was a pretty terrible event for Hendricks, who just over three years ago was bashing then-welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre like the Canadian owed him money.

Chiesa vs. Lee Controversy
Lee and Chiesa do not like each other, all stemming from comments made about ‘Maverick’s’ Mom during the recent press conference. Heading in to their collision at UFC Fight Night 112, fans were hopeful for a war.
Lee looked great, essentially dominating the action, but the bout was stopped before the end of round one. As Lee locked in a rear naked choke, Mario ‘If he dies, he dies’ Yamasaki called the fight before a tap or nap.
Chiesa’s angry response after the fight, and the full UFC Fight Night 112 results are below:
Chiesa Wrecks Mario
“It’s unbalanced officiating when two fights before that, we seen, who was it, Justine Kish just gettin’ her head squeezed off, and they didn’t do anything about it. Like, how are you gonna let that slide, but we go into the main event slot, a heated rival, hyped fight, and you let it crumble like this.”
“I mean Mario Yamasaki should just crawl into a hole and never step inside of any type of professional mixed martial arts events, he should never officiate ever again. He should spend more time going over the rules than making his stupid little heart symbols to the cameras.”
