Today’s freak show comes from Russia…
Everybody wants to get a bit bigger. There’s nothing like putting on some muscle to make you feel more like a man. Kirill Tereshin has taken this a little bit too far. The Russian bodybuilder literally injects oil into his biceps to enhance them. The result is that he looks like the cartoon character Popeye.
So what happens when you get a crazy guy like this? He takes an MMA fight of course. What else were you expecting? Kirill decided that he’d demonstrate his awesome strength by battling a real-life MMA fighter. Did he win? No, of course not. Known as ‘Bazooka Arms’ in Russia, Tereshin fought a Siberian MMA fighter named Oleg Mongol.
That went about as well as you’d expect. At 43, Mongol is twenty years older than his enhanced opponent. You can check out the full fight below. It’s as ridiculous as you’d expect.

Bad Fight
First of all, if you ever get to the stage where you think it’s a smart move to fight a Siberian MMA fighter, it’s time for an intervention. Mongol is a terrifying-looking man. We think he was weaned on vodka. This fight took place in Abakan, Russia and went exactly as you’d expect.
Tereshin came out swinging like a wild man and there was genuine danger of him knocking his opponent out. But it turns out he didn’t have the technique or the condition to fight against a bonafide trained martial artist. Mongol dropped him and ‘Popeye’ tapped out after three minutes. Mongol may have broken the rules by putting his elbow against his victim’s throat. But who cares?
Meanwhile, Tereshin had lost to Russia’s slapping champion Vasiliy ‘The Dumpling’ Kamotskiy, when he was dropped by one hit. He’s not having the best of times, is he?

Life-Threatening
The muscles really offer Tereshin nothing. They give him very little extra strength because they haven’t developed properly. In fact, they could end up killing him. To sum up, it turns out that injecting oil into your arms isn’t good for you. Who knew? Professor Evgeny Lilin, a leading Russian doctor, said:
‘Not immediately but he very likely faces amputation in the future. One day abscesses will develop, then inflammation and he will be at risk of a stroke.’
The things that people do to be famous. Allegedly his model girlfriend broke up with him because he didn’t want to get his buttocks enhanced. In fairness, that was probably a smart move by ‘Bazooka Arms.’
No Hope
This wild man doesn’t seem to have accepted his fate. Tereshin doesn’t know what to do in the future. In a video, he revealed that he has been close to despair. The Russian could be heard saying:
‘I don’t know what to do. All that is left to me is to rely on God. I will lie on my bed and pray to God.’
He should have thought of that before he started filling his arms up with oil. Taking MMA fights probably isn’t going to help him either. But people like ‘Bazooka Arms’ really do make the world more interesting, don’t they?
