We’re in a crazy time right now. The coronavirus has everybody trapped indoors as they attempt to avoid the virus. Everybody is restless and worried. Then you have all the added problems of money with many freelancers and other workers at risk.
In short, you don’t want to make life more difficult for anybody else right now. It’s not the time to be a scumbag, but some people just don’t get the message. So if you’re one of the reprehensible people spitting on groceries in supermarkets then you deserve everything you get.
This has actually become a dumb trend. However, one cantankerous shopper suffered the consequences of his gross action. Cameras caught him getting smacked down. It’s very enjoyable.

Knockdown
We’re not advocating violence towards shoppers but this is very satisfying. First of all, if you spit on any groceries you’re disgusting. It doesn’t matter if there’s a pandemic or not. In short, that’s what this man did. A woman spotted him and told him off. That’s when he got into it with her. However, he didn’t expect a store worker to send him crashing to the ground with a vicious swing. The account that posted the clip wrote:
“…. here’s what I know. I got it in an email, explaining he spat on oranges, was told off by a female – he got abusive with her & got slapped for both. But the person who recorded it only started after voices were raised. That’s why he didn’t capture the entire conflict.”
In times like these, this is the sort of footage we want.

Disgusting
This isn’t the first time that somebody has committed such an act. A store in Pennsylvania had to throw out thousands of dollars worth of food after a woman deliberately spat all over it. For some reason, she decided that this twisted prank was a good idea in a time of panic and emergency. Joe Fasula, co-owner of Gerrity’s Supermarket, explained to Newsweek the impact it had.
“Although we have not yet quantified the total loss, we estimate the value to be well over $35,000,” Fasula said. “I am also absolutely sick to my stomach about the loss of food.
“While it is always a shame when food is wasted, in these times when so many people are worried about the security of our food supply, it is even more disturbing.”
Foul Play
It’s just such an unnecessary action. In a time where small businesses are struggling to pay their employees, there is no need to make things worse. The mentality of it all is just bizarre. However, this is the world we live in and there are some twisted folks out there.
“Exploiting people’s fears and creating panic during a pandemic emergency is reprehensible. In times like these, we need to find ways to pull together as a community instead of committing acts that further divide us,” said Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.
Spitting will get you in a lot of trouble these days. In the UK it is now classified as assault. This comes after several incidents where teenagers spat at police officers. It’s such a foolish thing to do. Don’t be that person.
