Wow! That was one of the craziest kicks ever…
Kicking off in the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri, UFC on FOX 24 performed well last night. Topping the card was GOAT streak-seeking flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson, as he took on Wilson Reis.
The flyweight champion remained intact with a third round submission over his Brazilian rival, but the co-main event proved equally entertaining. Featuring two red hot prospects at women’s flyweight, Rose Namajunas and Michelle Watterson went to war.
Rose Was Too ‘Thug’ For ‘Karate Hottie’
After a feisty first round, ‘Thug’ Namajunas came out ready to finish Watterson. Landing a head kick reminiscent of the Holly Holm KO against Ronda Rousey, Namajunas went in for the kill.
Watterson deserves big props for surviving the kick, but she couldn’t get past the tight rear naked choke that ensued.

Hunting Anderson Silva’s legendary 10-straight title defenses, flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson tied that record in Kansas. Beating Wilson Reis convincingly over the first two rounds, Johnson wrapped up a tight armbar for the finish in round three.
