Sad News for the “Just Bleed” fans, as Yoel Romero is forced to withdraw his Bellator debut against Anthony “Rumble” Johnson. This was supposedly the most exciting to fight in their light-heavyweight grand prix opening bracket, sadly it will not happen for now.
According to the reports, Romero did not clear the medical testing. It is not yet vividly clear on what part did Romero fail, but we might hear from it soon. It is such a shame that we have to wait for Romero’s debut a little bit longer, but don’t forget that he is already 44 years old.

There is no argument that Romero could still hang with the top contenders in the UFC, but due to some circumstances he had to be cut due to his age and losing streak. Even though Romero was on a losing skid, he fought elite fighters like Whittaker, Costa, and Adesanya, not an easy task to do.

MMA fans were excited to hear Bellator’s opening bracket mainly because it involved two of the most explosive fighters in MMA history. Many predicted fireworks from the get-go but sadly, Bellator might have to find another replacement for Johnson.
Romero and Johnson fought for the title several times but always fell short. Now that they changed promotion, they are yet to get a MMA gold, will Bellator be the promotion that could give them the title “champion”?
