Katy Collins

12-fight MMA veteran Katy Collins tragically died of a brain aneurysm at the age of 32 on the 25th of September.

Collins, whose last fight was in 2018, spent five days in hospital being treated for the aneurysm, before finally passing away.

Known as the ‘Red Dragon,’ Collins had maintained a busy fight schedule since turning pro in 2015, amassing a 7-5 record while fighting for a number of respected promotions.

In Bellator, Collins compiled a 2-1 record, but she later moved on to LFA, where she suffered a dip in form, losing three fights in a row by decision prior to her passing.

“I’ve always been so proud of you Kate,” Collin’s coach JT Tilley wrote in a moving tribute on Facebook. “We did it. I was honored to be able to live your dream with you. I will miss you more than the world will ever know.”
