We could quite easily spend all day talking about how much of a scumbag Rousimar Palhares is. The Brazilian Jiu Jitsu monster is renowned for holding submissions too long during fights, failing a drug test while fighting for the UFC and being sacked from the promotion when it all became too much.

After wilfully injuring Mike Pierce by holding a heel hook too long, ‘Paul Harris’ found himself fighting for the World Series of Fighting. He made a big impact, quickly winning the promotion’s welterweight belt before it all went south again.

After gouging Jake Shields’ eyes to a bloody pulp at WSOF 22, Palhares once again held the submission for way too long.

He was finally stripped of the title, banned for two years and banished to fighting in Italy, where this happened:
