This is a tough subject to tackle given how likeable and generally awesome Wanderlei Silva is. ‘The Axe Murderer’ lands on the list for his fled drug test in 2014, which led to the breakdown of multiple UFC headline fights.

After a lengthy feud with Chael Sonnen on The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 3, Silva was yanked from his season ending fight with Sonnen for avoiding a random drug screen by the NSAC. It caused a crazy chain of events to follow.

Both Sonnen and Silva’s replacement Vitor Belfort were unable to compete because of their own failed drug tests, and Wandy was banned for life by the NSAC.

The ban was later reduced to two years, but the dent to his legacy was clear. That said, Silva is still a wicked awesome dude.
