Tyron Woodley

Former UFC welterweight champion Woodley hasn’t been afraid to branch out and try new things during the peak of his fighting career. In recent years, Woodley has become a rapper with several singles under his belt, he’s acted in films like Escape Plan II. He also performed stunt work in Olympus Has Fallen and The Equalizer 2, and has also been an MMA analyst on FOX and ESPN.

That’s not all though. Woodley has also tried his hand at stand-up comedy after some playful teasing with one of his friends about who was funnier led to him attempting to prove it. He told comic/podcaster Adam Hunter about his interest in trying it. Hunter offered him a slot at a comedy night at the Dime Bar the following Tuesday.

Before he knew it, Hunter had already put his name on the lineup so there was no turning back. But Woodley took it all in his stride and did the set as planned, though he’s made it clear that he’s more interested in continuing to pursue a career in acting than stand-up comedy when he finally retires from the sport.
