5. Jose Canseco
Jose Canseco was one of baseball’s biggest stars in the 80s and 90s. He is probably most recognizable for the years he spent with the Oakland Athletics, along with Mark McGwire. He would also gain some notoriety within the sports world for publishing multiple books chronically the use of steroids in the game of baseball.
Canseco was a big fan of mixed martial arts, and a trained kick boxer. He didn’t have too much success transitioning into mixed martial arts however. His one professional mixed martial arts fight took place for the Dream promotion, which was trying to revive mixed martial arts in Japan.
Canseco faced 7ft kick boxer Choi Hong-man in the 1st round of the “Super Hulk Grand Prix”. The large kick boxer was just too much for Canseco, who submitted to strikes just over a minute into the bout.
