Scott Coker Has Responded to Claims that 50 Cent Will Fight Quinton Jackson in an MMA Match…

In one of the weirdest stories of the week, Rapper 50 Cent linked himself to an MMA fight against Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson after he uploaded a mocked-up image of the duo facing off in fighting stances, on Instagram. The picture has since been deleted, but you get the message.

‘Rampage’ being the wonderful human being he is, uploaded a series of memes to his own Instagram, responding to 50 Cent’s ‘callout’. If it did happen (it won’t) it would be a Jackson vs Jackson fight, as 50 Cent’s real name is Curtis Jackson.

Anyway, Scott Coker, President of Bellator, has responded to speculation that the two could be squaring off sometime soon in a cage near you. He’s as confused by everybody else. While he agrees that the 42-year-old has no place fighting Jackson, he doesn’t rule out a potential MMA fight for him in the future.

For his part, Coker has no idea how or why 50 Cent started spouting off these rumors. He revealed his confusion in an interview with MMA Junkie. He said:

“I left the meeting. Then I come home, and there he is. Boom, to his Instagram followers. And then my phone is blowing up: ‘Hey, are you signing 50 Cent to a fight?’ A lot of speculation at what’s going on. But, listen, the guy, I haven’t even talked to him about fighting.”

50 Cent is expected to attend Bellator 199 in San Jose, California, taking place tonight. What are the odds on Coker announcing him as their newest signing? There is probably still a better chance of that than Floyd Mayweather beating Conor McGregor in MMA.

No Business

Coker stated unequivocally that 50 Cent has no business even thinking about fighting ‘Rampage’. Yes, we know that he cares more about his video games these days than MMA, but he’d still absolutely destroy the rapper, who has no professional fighting experience.

“Jackson vs. Jackson? I mean, you know, they shouldn’t be fighting,” Coker said. “I think that, with 50 Cent, if he wanted to train and really get in there and do it, I think he probably could do it. The guy is in great shape. But to fight Rampage?”

I think that pretty much sums it up.

Bye Instagram

Meanwhile, 50 Cent is set to delete his Instagram because he’s annoyed they keep taking his posts down. ‘So what?’ I hear you say. Well, he has a cool 18 million followers, so he’s actually one of the most popular influencers on the planet. He’s going back to Twitter because they’re not as strict with their content rules.

It might give him more time to train for the ‘Rampage’ fight. Just kidding.
