Bisping will likely need some time to recover from the Silva fight. He received stitches for the cut over his left eye, a memento of his victory over the greatest middleweight of all time. Bisping will receive a short medical suspension due to the damage he endured in that fight. Nick Diaz last fought at UFC 183 against Anderson Silva in a fight that he lost by a unanimous decision.

The decision was later overturned to a no contest after it was revealed that both fighters had failed drug tests. Diaz being popped for marijuana and Silva for steroids. Diaz received a 5-year ban, citing his previous 2 failed test for the same offense. After a lengthy appeal process, the suspension was reduced to 18 months. Diaz will be eligible to fight on August 1, 2016.
