UFC Fan Favorite Nick Diaz Has Been Arrested For Domestic Violence… Read The Full Story Below…
Well, this came out of nowhere. Nick Diaz has been arrested by the Las Vegas Metro Police Department, on multiple counts of domestic abuse. The star has been in the media a lot recently for reasons both good and bad. This definitely falls into the latter category and could cost the cult hero a lot of fans.
Diaz is the older brother of Conor McGregor’s nemesis, Nate. He’s one of the most recognizable fighters in the UFC, despite never being a champion and the fact that he hasn’t fought since 2015. He was banned after losing to Anderson Silva after marijuana was found in his system.
It’s a massive blow to fans of the Diaz brothers who had been hoping to see the Stockton native back in the octagon soon. It looked like he was aiming for a return this year, with teammate Jake Shields adamant he wants to return.

Arrested
Diaz was arrested by the Las Vegas Metro Police Department on Friday on multiple charges of domestic violence, as reported by MMA Fighting. The Las Vegas police department could not confirm this for legal reasons, but sources reveal that it is definitely Diaz. The arrest follows a police callout that took place on Thursday night.
He is being charged specifically with battery by strangulation and first-degree domestic battery. Diaz’s bail has been set at $18,000. If you want to pop down and bail him out, he’s being held at Clark County Detention Center and is due in court on Saturday.

Crazy Week
It follows a crazy week for the Diaz brothers. Sacramento Police confirmed that they were investigating allegations that Nate Diaz had assaulted Clay Guida, causing injury at a Combate Americas event. Long story short, yes he did. It’s on camera. However, as of yet, no arrest has been made.
Nick Diaz also had a spat with Canadian legend Georges St. Pierre. He claimed that the former UFC champion’s camp had spiked his IV with some sort of contaminant as he was doing his weight cut. It was all a little crazy and St. Pierre has since gone on record to mock it on Joe Rogan’s MMA Show podcast.

Fan Favorite
Strangely enough, a lot of fans don’t like to see their heroes talking crazy and attacking vulnerable women. Look at Floyd Mayweather Jr. His record of domestic violence has blemished his incredible boxing career. It’s hard to know which he is more famous for at this stage. Conor McGregor made sure to remind him during the run-up to their fight.
What is certain is that the UFC board of management will be sitting down shaking their heads. The return of the Diaz brothers was meant to inject a much-needed boost of star power into their roster of fighters. Now both brothers and Conor McGregor could face serious charges. Jon Jones is also out. All they need now is for it to be revealed that Georges St. Pierre is a drug addict or something.
