Colby Covington continues his trash talk to his former American Top-team teammate, Dustin Poirier. Covington has said that Poirier is a fake nice guy, but inside the gym he is a different type of person.
He has revealed in a Helen Yee interview that he has evidence that Poirier is a fake person and will post the video soon. Covington chose the best timing in posting the video which is days before Poirier’s trilogy with McGregor. No doubt that Covington got a lot of attention and gives his name more relevancy.
The guy wearing full nerf gear head to toe to protect his face and his feelings is Poirier. The guy with no headgear, wrestling credentials or brain cells left is “khabib.” @DustinPoirier Good guy? Bad guy? You be the judge👨⚖️ #AndNew #UFC264 pic.twitter.com/EMMFwC2b4E

In the video, you can actually see Poirier knocking down his opponent but the story was a bit exaggerated by Covington. He said that Poirier went on hard to some amateur who lacks experience and was unsafe which was not the case. Yes, he got knocked down but it was not as bad as you would have assumed. He also added saying “and new” which was to hyping himself since he was about to face Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Poirier also responded with the post saying that his sparring partner is already an experienced fighter. He said that the fighter already has 20 wins in his record which is more than what you can say amateur.
This is a pro fighter with 20 wins https://t.co/0rEGN3bf53

Which side are you on? Do you think Covington is on the right for saying that Poirier is a bad guy in real life? Dustin Poirier has always come off a good guy in public, to his charity work and to sportsmanship inside the Octagon.
