It’s a Rich Man’s World… Conor McGregor and the Rock Have Been Bonding on Instagram…

What did you do with your weekend? I bet that whatever it was, Dwayne Johnson, aka, the Rock wasn’t posting pictures of him watching your documentary anyway. Well, that’s what Conor McGregor saw when he went online the other day. The former wrestler and current Hollywood superstar sang the praises of the Irishman on Instagram.

Life has been very quiet for Conor McGregor lately. It’s understandable considering he put a couple of years worth of mayhem into one night when he attacked the UFC 223 media bus carrying his nemesis Khabib Nurmagamedov. He spent the night in a Brooklyn cell and is keeping his head down for the moment.

Meanwhile, the Rock is arguably the biggest male star on the planet right now. Since leaving professional wrestling behind him, he’s been in more blockbusters than you can count. Jumanji and Rampage have both been box office hits in 2018. The man is on a roll.

Online Response

If the Rock even liked one of my tweets I’d probably scream like a little girl. So imagine if he devoted an Instagram post to praising the documentary of your life story? The Californian was watching Conor McGregor’s documentary movie,  ‘Notorious’ on Saturday night. He wrote:

“NOTORIOUS.
Great insight into the DNA of this successful and smart business man.
Best part of his success, is when you strip it all away – it will always come down to being the hardest worker in the room.
Those roots never go away.
Solid doc. Well done brother”

Delighted

Obviously, McGregor was absolutely delighted to see this. The Rock is a legend and probably one of the few people on this planet that the Irishman is inspired by. The way he has successfully crossed over from professional wrestling to full-blown acting, you can bet that McGregor respects that. He replied:

“Thank you Rock! Your work ethic is inspiring to me and I appreciate these words very much! Big respect my Uce.”

You can almost hear McGregor fangirling in his living room. Wouldn’t you too though?

Return

Conor McGregor is expected to return sometime in 2018. That is assuming his court case on June 14 goes to plan and he gets off with nothing more than a slap on the wrists. If he does get charged and imprisoned he might want to look to Adam Sandler for inspiration instead of The Rock. Prison games tend to be very competitive and make for good films.

If he does make his comeback this year, it’s highly like to be against Russian fighter, Khabib Nurmagamedov. The Dagestani became the new lightweight champion after beating Al Iaquinta at UFC 223, in April. He’s one of the most frightening fighters on the planet right now, with an oppressive, brutal top game.

This fight sells itself. If it does officially go ahead, expect to see lots of footage of McGregor throwing that dolly. He’s not going to live that down for a long time yet.
