UFC announced a change in its lineup for its UFC Atlantic City card, with Dominick Reyes no longer joining the event. In line with this, the promotion put Alonzo Menifield in place of Reyes to face Carlos Ulberg on March 30 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Reyes and Ulberg were originally scheduled to meet at UFC 297, with Reyes confirming that the opponent withdrew due to an injury. Despite this, “The Devastator” shared that it could be rescheduled and that the team was “currently looking at options.” Surprisingly, while the bout is indeed rescheduled to join the UFC Atlantic City event, Reyes was the one who was scrapped from the lineup instead of Ulberg.

The fight would have been Reyes’ redeeming path to join the winning column again after experiencing a four-fight losing skid from Ryan Spann, Jiří Procházka, Jan Błachowicz, and Jon Jones. The reason behind Reyes’ removal from the fight is unknown, as his current profile remains without a new fight booked.

As for Ulberg, the upcoming fight will be his break to enter the Top 15 of UFC’s light heavyweight division by defeating the No. 12-ranked Menifield. “Atomic” boasts a four-fight winning streak alongside the 10 KO and three submission wins on his record. However, the fight won’t be easy for him in facing Ullberg, who sports a five-fight winning streak, with his last being a submission victory following his earlier three KO/TKO wins.
