Conor McGregor wants to get his hands on Floyd Mayweather inside the octagon…

Conor McGregor recently took part in a fan Q&A session in Glasgow, Scotland. No question is off-limits during these sessions and Conor doesn’t hold anything back either.

When the topic of Floyd Mayweather inevitably came up, Conor let it be known he wants to get his hands on him once again, only this time without boxing gloves covering them.

Did Floyd Let Conor Win the Early Rounds?

Perhaps the biggest issue preventing Conor from gaining closure over his rivalry with Floyd is that Floyd has consistently stated he allowed Conor to win those early rounds.

Conor appeared to control the early rounds of their fight, as Floyd only threw six punches in the first round. Since the fight’s conclusion, however, Floyd has said he allowed Conor to win those early rounds so that he’d tire out and and Floyd could take advantage in the later rounds.

Conor’s side of the story, of course, is that he outboxed Floyd early and only lost the fight because he got tired in the later rounds.

Here is what Conor had to say regarding how a rematch in a boxing ring with Floyd would go:

“What sickens me is that the little mother fucker is retired now,” McGregor said.

“If I had another go with him, under boxing rules, I’d get that win. He had to change his whole approach. With those lessons I learned, with another go around, I’d get it.”

Would Floyd Fight MMA?

According to Conor, Floyd fighting MMA is not the long-shot most feel it is. Floyd’s team might feel the idea of fighting MMA as a regression from the big-money boxing fights he’s used to, however.

No MMA fight has earned the amount of money that Floyd is used to receiving from boxing bouts, so why would Floyd even consider the idea? Well, according to Conor, Floyd isn’t that smart with his money and the day might come where he needs another pay cheque. Come that time, Conor is hoping his MMA fights are just as profitable as Floyd’s boxing bouts.

“He’s 50-0 and getting on, I’m not calling him out. I’ll sit back. We’ll see how he gets on with this round of money. Maybe I’ll get another call.”

Conor Challenges Floyd to MMA Fight

Conor also pointed out at the recent Q&A that Floyd had been talking about doing an MMA bout before they signed their deal to face each other in a boxing ring.

“Originally he was saying an MMA bout next. That’s what he said before the fight.” Conor said at the Q&A.

“He did say an MMA fight. So if he wants to, lets fucking do it. There’s not a hope in hell… I’d like to see him come over to our side and have a knock. I earned their respect and put myself out there. Style over to my side and earn our respect now.”

While this bout still seems unlikely to occur, that is what most people said about their boxing bout as well.
