The Irish Star has finally responded regarding Jake Paul calling him out. He said that he is not interested in fighting the Youtuber/Boxer. It would have been a huge payday for the Notorious one as Paul offered to pay him a guaranteed $50M for the fight. Paul indicated that he went on to McGregor’s team and offered a $50M paycheck.
The trashtalk and insults of Paul does not seem to get in Mcgregor’s head. Paul insulted McGregor’s wife, but it did not matter. He also called out Dana White for not letting the fight happen.
“That is what it is,” McGregor told BT Sport. “We’ll see what happens. That’s it. He seems like a confused little kid to me, to be honest. Now, he’s willing to get in, so we don’t know what’ll happen. It’s not on the radar at the minute with the young lad.
It seems that McGregor sounds reasonable as he is an accomplished fighter who is known for his devastating striking arsenal in the UFC game and to fight a Youtuber would just hurt his legacy. He has more to lose than to gain, the only thing is if he would just want the money.
“I know him and Dillon have been back and forth, so you never know. But I’m excited to see. Fair play to them. Fair play to the Logan guy getting in there with Floyd . I’m excited to see how that goes. Floyd looks fat to me. It’s a mad little scene at the minute, isn’t it? I’m not against it. Any man that is willing to make that walk, you know, all the best.”
Dillon Danis is a teammate of McGregor who is known for his high level BJJ but his striking still needs work even on MMA level. Both him and Paul have been exchanging words in the social media and had altercations in public as well. Danis would certainly get a big payday fighting Paul.
It is also possible McGregor is pursuing the Pacquiao fight instead as he said that Paul is not on his radar at the moment. Will we possibly see them clash?
