6. Jose Aldo vs. Max Holloway
Now that all talk of Jose Aldo going up in weight has died down, the UFC has no choice but to make this featherweight title fight.
Conor has arguably spoiled this division a little. That tends to happen when a guy knocks out the division’s champion of 7 years and then never defends the title. But Aldo clearly bested Frankie Edgar at UFC 200, and Holloway beat Anthony Pettis for an awkwardly awarded interim title in December.
There is no other division that could use more consistency than this one. This is the only title fight that could possibly be made next at featherweight. After this if Aldo wants to go up in weight and chase Conor he’s more than welcome to. He’ll have to get behind Mayweather and a few others however.
I’m removing scrap digest from my feed .all these articles look like they are written by a casual fan. I really hope this isn’t a 1-8 ranking of these potential fights. There is no way in hell they put Carla Esparza back in the octagon with Joanna. That is a complete mismatch. Did you see the first fight. Joanna murdered her. There’s far better options. A 3rd Gadhela fight would be much better. A Karolina rematch , or an Andrade fight. Please stop talking fights
