Daniel Cormier represented the USA at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, but failed to win a medal, losing in the bronze medal match.
In MMA Cormier has won gold however, as the reigning UFC Light Heavyweight Champion. With Jon Jones staring at a possible 2-year suspension, Cormier could have that belt for awhile. Considering that Cormier will be 39 by the time Jones comes back, if he does get suspended for 2 years, that lost UFC 200 main event may never come to pass.
