Ronda Rousey

Ronda Rousey was won of the best judoka competitors in the world before retiring at the age of 21. She won gold in the 2004 and 2005 Pan Am Judo Championships, gold in the 2007 Pan Am Games, silver at the 2007 World Championships, and then won a bronze for the USA at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.

Some are speculating that how Rousey is currently handling her loss to Holly Holm (not fighting, shying away from the public) is similar to how Rousey handled not winning the gold in 2008. After her loss to Holm, Rousey even talked about retirement (and suicide and having Travis Browne’s babies) which is similar to how she handled things the last time she suffered a big let down.

Rousey is rumoured to be fighting by the end of 2016, so we will see if she handles her MMA career different from how she handled her Judo career.
