3. Insulting Fabricio Werdum’s Mother
For a fighter that is considered in the conversation of best heavyweights of all time, Fabricio Werdum seems to be a fairly modest guy. He doesn’t really trash talk, is respectful of opponents, and for some reason loves to do his “joker face” at the camera before big fights.
So when Werdum and Edmond got into it following the Travis Browne vs Werdum fight recently, it wasn’t hard to know who to blame.
This was the Travis Browne vs Werdum fight from UFC 203. You may remember this was the fight that Browne was granted time for having a broken finger for some reason. After the fight Edmond (who was cornering Browne) started motioning forward and yelling stuff at Werdum. All Werdum did was give him a little push-kick to keep the distance.
Reports afterwards indicated that Edmond, who has no known relationship with Werdum’s mother, had some very harsh words for her. Werdum gave him a kick and nobody wanted to bother handing out fines or having a hearing.
