Edmond Tarverdyan is one of the least liked people in mixed martial arts. But so long as he continues to be Ronda Rousey’s striking coach he will still be in the spotlight, for better or for worse (usually worse).

Rousey seems to be a very loyal person, and evidently she is not considering moving camps, not even if her own mother has publicly stated that is what she should do. Now with the announcement that Rousey will be challenging Amanda Nunes at UFC 207, Edmond Tarverdyan will be in MMA’s spotlight for the remainder of 2016.
For those of you unfamiliar with the train wreck that is Edmond Taverdyan, or for those just looking to have yet another laugh at his expense, we present 5 reasons why he is the biggest joke in UFC history.
5. Filed for Bankruptcy
Edmond has filed for bankruptcy recently, evidently not knowing how to turn coaching Ronda Rousey’s career into something profitable. During bankruptcy hearings, Edmond listed his monthly income as “$0”. That news is not hitting potential gym owners too kindly; knowing that training one of the most marketable stars in the sport’s history is something that yields absolutely zero profit.
Tarverdyan filed for bankruptcy in July of last year, and since then has had to appear under oath to answer several questions. In those testimonies it became apparent that Edmond really had no idea how to run a business, wasn’t able to pay expenses and didn’t actually have a source of income.
In total Tarverdyan claimed $700,000 in debt, which is quite a large number considering he has no income.
