3. 2015 Hit and Run Arrest
In the spring of 2015 Jones was driving early in the morning when he ran a red light and collided with two vehicles. Possibly because he was inebriated at the time, Jones fled the scene.
It wasn’t too difficult to find Jones after fleeing however, considering he left his rental car documentation with his name in the car and also people noticed it was Jon Jones the UFC light heavyweight champion who was fleeing the scene at the time.
Jones could have gone to jail but ended up with 18 months probation. He was stripped of his title and wouldn’t fight again for a year.
