5. Nate Diaz (and fans) Feel They Got Robbed

While judges and members of the media who scored the fight in favour of Nate Diaz are almost non-existent, many Nate Diaz fans (and Nate Diaz himself) believe that he won the fight. Scorecards filled out by members of the media were released after the fight, and the majority had Conor winning the fight, many others scored the fight a draw, and a very sparse few scored the fight in favour of Diaz.

The facial scoreboard, also showed much more damage to Nate than to Conor, although Conor would injure his foot/shin and be given a 6-month medical suspension after the fight.

Still Nate Diaz was often the one pushing the pace in the fight, while Conor was more often trying to avoid Nate and conserve his energy. Nate Diaz and his fans have stated that Conor should have been penalized for stalling, although no warning was given to Conor during the fight.

Another point that one could make in support of Nate’s position is that Nate did out-strike Conor during the bout, although Conor appeared to inflict more damage. Still there is enough evidence to support the idea that the fight was inconclusive in terms of determining who is the better fighter between the two.
