Mike Perry is one of the most outspoken fighters on the UFC roster. ‘Platinum’ is definitely easy to spot with his tattoos and outrageous style. He also brings it to every fight. Even if he doesn’t win – he’s lost three of his last four – you can guarantee that he’s ready to put his body on the line.

Perry is also a surprisingly cerebral individual. He’s not afraid to give his opinion to his fans and is more thoughtful than his appearance would have you think. However, he’s also ready to throw down if you get in his face, as one man in Florida found out.

Check out the clip below of Perry laying out a fool who decided to take him on. Folks, don’t fight a UFC fighter. It won’t end well for you.

KO

Perry proved why you don’t mess with a professional. For some reason, a man got into it with him and allegedly punched him in the mouth. That’s a bad idea because Perry has genuine knockout power. The man found himself laid out on the floor after Perry dropped him with a vicious left.

That’s what happens when you interfere with someone’s social distancing right? Then, to rub salt into his wounds, Perry posted the video on social media. Oh, and it was the attacker’s ‘friends’ who took the video. You’ve got to love it.

Breakdown

The welterweight star also broke down what happened. First of all, he was acting in self-defense. He also believes he used an appropriate amount of force considering what happened. Perry wrote:

“Goin to the beach boy ! #Tbt #ViralChallenge #YOLO He’d actually just punched me in the mouth. (Why do you think they started recording) I created space, he followed with his fists balled. As I stepped into position around the girl he either flinched or got distracted from what his drunk ass was doing which was harassing me.

He wouldn’t stop so I ended it. I threw the jab/hook split seconds before he looked to the left. I could’ve continued to ground and pound him to death but walked away and spoke to the police. For any of you acting like you’ve ever done anything for me please believe you play with fire you’re gonna get burned.”

Be Cool

Furthermore, Perry made it clear that fans have to know how to act around public figures. If you poke a lion, expect to get mauled. That’s the truth of the matter. He wrote:

“If you can mind your space and social distance yourself from my personal bubble than anything can be resolved through conversation. Judge me all you want you bunch of cry to get your way hypocrite’s but I live an honest life and am the most truthful person I know.

I share my life with all of you watching so please believe if you feel like you want to butt into anything you were not involved in than you, yo mama, yo daddy, yo wife, husbands, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, and grandma’s and grandpa’s can get these pro fighter hands too since it’s ok to hit me but not ok when I hit back. Check yo selves !”
