UFC 202 is now in the rear view mirror. The excitement of the amazing card has still not worn off though. Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz did us proud in the main event, putting on an all out war.
Both ‘The Notorious’ and Diaz had a lot of bad blood between them. Following the fireworks at UFC 196, we knew UFC 202 would be great. Few expected an all out battle of attrition though.
Five Rounds
Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor pounded away on each other for the full 25-minute duration. It was a fantastic scrap to watch. Directly after their brawl had finished, many were regarding the fight as one of the greatest ever.
Immediately fans were baying for a trilogy fight. Nate Diaz wanted it, but it seemed like Conor McGregor and the UFC weren’t interested. The Irishman had got back a victory, evening the score to one each.
It Ain’t Over
With all the talk of a lightweight title fight for McGregor next, many are already moving past the Diaz beef. You’d think the UFC were almost happy that ‘The Notorious’ had managed to get a majority decision win and move on.
