3. It Could Main Event a Stadium Show

When Conor McGregor beat Chad Mendes to win the interim UFC featherweight championship, he talked about wanting to face Jose Aldo in a football stadium in Ireland. While Dana White initially said that wasn’t in the plans for the time being, there is plenty of reason to believe that has changed.

5 of Conor’s last 6 fights have been in Las Vegas, with the other fight being held in the Irish capital of the United States, Boston Mass. The last time Conor McGregor fought in Ireland was in 2014. Considering all the Irish that make the trip to Las Vegas for every Conor fight, one could argue that the UFC owes the Irish faithful a home fight for Conor.

Imagine an outdoor Irish football (soccer) stadium filled with 30,000-50,000 rabid fight fans in Dublin. It would be a scene unlike any other that has occurred in the sport.
