Dana White was doing a morning radio show recently when the host asked him if Ronda Rousey is the biggest star in the history of the company. White’s response was surprising.
“By far. Not even close, by far the biggest star ever.”
White’s statements were met with quite a few raised eyebrows considering the amount of money Conor McGregor has pulled in recently. Conor’s last two fights broke PPV butyrate records. Conor vs. Nate at 196 broke the record previously held by UFC 100, and then UFC 202 topped both of them a few months later.
Conor’s 3rd highest grossing PPV he main event’d was his bout against Jose Aldo, which is the 4th highest grossing PPV in company history. With 3 of the top 4 UFC PPVs being main event’d by him, how is Conor McGregor not the biggest star in the company’s history?
