1. Fight with Nunes

Generally when a champion has been dominant, like Rousey was, they receive a rematch after losing the title. Anderson Silva was granted one against Chris Weidman, BJ Penn was granted one against Frankie Edgar, and so it could have been assumed that Ronda would receive one against Holly Holm.

Only Holly Holm didn’t want to wait for Ronda to film “Roadhouse” and ended up losing the title to Tate. Tate then lost to Nunes and now there is a clog at the top of the division. It’s not that she is getting a title rematch immediately that is the preferential treatment she is receiving, its that she took a year off to film movies and is coming back to an immediate title shot.

Considering the clog at the top of women’s bantamweight division, Rousey probably should have to face a top contender before facing the champion again. But Ronda Rousey is marketable and worth a lot of money, so that puts her in the main event of UFC 207.
