4. Said She Would “Rag Doll” Floyd Mayweather
Dana White appeared on “the Herd” with Colin Cowherd last year and said that if Floyd and Ronda ever met in a fight that Ronda would win. This was before Holly Holm showed the world what an elite level boxer could do to Ronda of course.
Come to think of it however, Dana might actually be right. Floyd Mayweather is 5ft 8 and does not possess much power in his hands. Only 2 of Floyd’s final 13 fights were won via knockout. In general Floyd Mayweather fights involve him avoiding being hit and periodically placing his boxing gloves in the face of his opponent. That’s his style of boxing, most times pressing his boxing glove against the other guy wins. There’s no knockout power there.
Ronda’s bigger, probably more powerful, and would be able to use her judo to take Floyd down and out of his element. Perhaps Dana wasn’t wrong at all about that.
Still however, the fact that he would make such a bold statement regarding Rousey’s ability shows how much stock he has invested in her.
