1- Tito Ortiz
Tito Ortiz was once the face of the UFC. If the UFC was having a PPV and Tito was on it, the posters, the billboards, and every other advertisement for the show featured Tito.
Ortiz successfully defended the title on 5 occasions but was dogged by accusations that he was avoiding a fight with Liddell. When the 2 finally did meet at UFC 47, after Ortiz had already lost the title to Couture, Liddell knocked him out in the 2nd round. After that Ortiz won 5 straight and earned a title fight against Liddell, who by then had defeated Couture for the belt. The 2nd time around Liddell knocked Ortiz out in the 3rd round, and Ortiz’s career never recovered.
After the 2nd loss to Liddell, Ortiz’s career went into a tail spin. It would take him nearly 5 years and 6 fights to get back into the win column, when he beat Ryan Bader at UFC 132. After that Ortiz lost 3 straight and was out of the UFC.
You can now find Tito Ortiz in Bellator with the rest of the sideshow division, and occasionally giving bad career advice to Cyborg Santos, who inexplicably hired Tito as her manager for a few years.
