Bob Sapp fought Taro Akebono for the second time last night. See what happened when these two behemoths collided. Also we have Fedor vs. Singh and Gabi Garcia’s MMA debut…

We all love a good freak show fight, there’s no hiding that, it’s the very reason they exist. Any fans watching the Rizin Fighting Federation two-day NYE show this week will have seen their fair share of weird fights, as the Japanese MMA promotion took us all on a trip down memory lane.

The former Pride FC owner Nobuyuki Sakakibara gave his take on mixed martial arts, but it wasn’t without controversy. Then again, neither were any of the major Pride events back in the day.

Gabi-MMA[1]

So 200-pound female grappling beast Gabi Garcia made her pro MMA debut on the RIzin fight card, and she took on WWE diva Lei D’Tapa in another interesting attraction. Check it out:

I know what you’re thinking, Fedor Emelianenko fought on this card too. Yes, correct, and against the biggest tomato can on the planet in the form of Jaideep Singh. Check out the video here.

So not a great night for the WWE-MMA crossover, but we are still yet to reach the meat on the bone for this article.
