9. Mike Tyson and Who?

“Here where great heavyweights like Mike Tyson, George Holmes (?), all have fought here in the past”– Mike Goldberg

Mike Goldberg has called hockey games and football games in addition to his career as a mixed martial arts commentator. Never boxing though, clearly never boxing.

In the opening promo for UFC 28, Goldberg was trying to play up the significance of the night’s location and the history that has been made there. The UFC was in Atlantic City that night, in one of President-elect Donald Trump’s casinos.

Goldberg compared the heavyweight clash between Randy Couture and Kevin Randleman that night to many of the great heavyweight boxers that had competed in the same arena. He starts with Mike Tyson, but then he seems to combine George Foreman and Larry Holmes into one person…
