Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is officially a WWE superstar now. After making her first appearance during this week’s historic Royal Rumble show, ‘Rowdy’ is again the subject of heated debates…
Ronda Rousey’s historic run in the UFC came to quite an abrupt end. Although she broke some heavyweight records while owning the women’s bantamweight division, it wasn’t long before the talent at 135 pounds started to catch up.
Rousey’s last recorded win was a knockout against Bethe Correia at UFC 190. Here’s where things took a turn for the worse. ‘Rowdy’ was paired against former women’s boxing champ Holly Holm at UFC 193, and it was ugly.
Although a massive favorite in the betting lines, Rousey was taught a brutal lesson against Holm. ‘The Preacher’s Daughter’ battered Rousey like it was nothing, scoring an iconic head kick knockout to finish the fight.
Lessons were not learned though, and coach Edmond remained in her corner to have Amanda Nunes end Rousey’s MMA career.
Here WWE Come
Rousey made her first appearance as an official WWE wrestler at this week’s all-female Royal Rumble 2018. It was a historic night, made even more so by the organization’s signing of the UFC’s biggest female star.
Meanwhile, on social media, the trolls and haters came out to play. As is always the case with Rousey, the memes and hurtful comments were on full show, but there was a lot of support from members of both the WWE and the MMA community.

Stop & consider this before u talk about Rousey. She was an overhyped, 1 trick pony that was gifted a strap to make $ for ownership. She is arrogant, mean spirited & a sore loser. Its unbecoming for a legit fan or media member to associate or promote such a creep. #RondaRousey

UFC president Dana White was supportive in his comments to the Review-Journal:
“I’m very happy for her,” he told the Review-Journal via text on Sunday night. “She loves pro wrestling and has always been a big fan so I know how much his means to her. She keeps accomplishing everything she’s ever wanted.”

Women in the @WWE are complaining because of @RondaRousey but she has worked hard for years to get there y'all should be more respectable. I mean #Auskawwe winning was so predictable which made it boring someone else should have won. pic.twitter.com/niCcUKxd47
