The big heavyweight title fight is official, although it was pretty obvious on who was the next opponent will be, the only thing that lacked was the date. No venue has been announced but it still keeps the fans excited as Miocic only defended his belt once for year 2020.

The PPV Card will likely be UFC 260, the co-main event is also a big featherweight title fight, Alexander Volkanovski will defend his belt against Brian Ortega. Ortega only fought once since his loss to Max Holloway but he showed a great performance against the Korean Zombie who was supposed to fight for the title had he won.

Francis Ngannou has been long due for a title shot as he need to wait for the trilogy of Miocic-Cormier to finish. In order for him to be active he fought Jairzinho Rozenstruik who was a rising heavyweight prospect. He blasted him in under 20 seconds which shows his insane power. It is a reminder how scary he is  in the heavyweight division.

Meanwhile, Miocic closed his rivalry against Daniel Cormier by winning the last two of the three fights. Although he has said that a fight against Jon Jones interests him more compared to a rematch with Ngannou since he already has a one-sided win against him

No one could argue after how many top contenders Ngannou beat. He has beaten Curtis Blaydes, Cain Velasquez, Jairzinho Rozenstruik, and Junior Dos Santos. So it would be unfair to not give him a title shot. Ngannou also underestimated Mioicic in the first fight so we could possibly see a different outcome in the rematch.

As Daniel Cormier would say, Mioic is the greatest heavyweight champion in the UFC and the winner will likely be declared as the “Baddest man in the Planet” but if Ngannou wins he thinks that he will be the “Scariest being to walk in the face of the Earth”

The winner of the title fight would likely face Jon Jones. It would be an exciting match for the heavyweight division as fans always wanted to see Jones moving up and face opponents bigger than him. How would his lack of physical advantage affect his fighting style or will he still dominate.
