UFC 200 was supposed to be the best serving of mixed martial arts action ever. Instead it turned out to be a massive flop. The stars of the evening may have put in their best efforts, but the reality is that fans were left disappointed on July 9.
But the drama and overall feeling of being let down wasn’t just because the event was a little stale. In fact most of the negative energy around UFC 200 stems from huge controversy that happened outside the cage before and after the show.

First up it was Jon Jones’ turn to take a chunk out of UFC 200’s legitimacy. The interim and former undisputed light-heavyweight champion was popped by USADA (United States Anti Doping Agency).
After ‘Bones’ was removed from the July 9 rematch with current champ Daniel Cormier, fans still had some great fights to look forward to. One such potentially thrilling affair featured former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar.
After five years back in his old home of the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) Lesnar decided to take another run at real fighting. Rejoining the UFC with a four-month exemption from USADA already got his comeback off to a shady start.
As it turned out, the whole thing was shady. After pummeling Hunt for three rounds in his victorious return, Lesnar joined the wall of shame with not one, but two USADA drug test fails.
