Conor McGregor’s Rival Khabib Nurmagamedov Responds to Ridiculous UFC 223 Bus Attack…

Khabib Nurmagamedov has reacted to the unsavory events involving Conor McGregor in Brooklyn, New York. The ‘Notorious’, with an entourage of between 20 and 30 guys attacked the UFC 223 press bus. The mob launched dollies, trash cans and other solid objects at the vehicle, which had almost all the fighters from the UFC 223 on board.

Despite Michael Chiesa suffering lacerations, and Rose Namajunas reportedly in shock after an object narrowly missed striking her, Nurmagamedov seems to be unfazed. Well, of course, he isn’t. When he was a kid he wrestled a grizzly bear cub. That pretty much sums it up.

It’s believed that the attack was the culmination of an intense rivalry between the McGregor and Nurmagamedov camps. After an incident between the Irishman’s training partner, Artem Lobob, and Khabib earlier this week, there were fears something could go down. However, nobody could have expected the drama that is going viral right now.

Real Gangster

Nurmagamedov spoke to Ariel Helwani about the ludicrous event. The undefeated fighter is going to fight Max Holloway on Saturday night for the UFC lightweight championship after Conor McGregor was stripped. The Dagestani said:

“I am laughing inside. You broke window? Why? Come inside. If you real gangster why don’t you come inside? If you real gangster why don’t you come inside? This is big history gangster place. Brooklyn. You want to talk to me? Send me location. I am going to come. No problem.”

The man is literally made of ice. There hasn’t been an incident like this in New York since Al Capone was active in the 1930s. McGregor is going to have to do more to rattle ‘The Eagle’s’ cage.

Wrong Bus

To add insult to injury, Nurmagamedov wanted to make it clear that McGregor and his followers had made idiots of themselves by picking the wrong bus. Nurmagamedov’s team were not traveling with him. Only the red corner fighters were on board, while the blue corner fighters were on a separate vehicle.

“This is not my team bus, this is red corner bus,” he said. “My whole team wasn’t with me. It was just me, Ali Abdelaziz and a cornerman, Muhammed. The whole red corner.”

It’s probably just as well. Can you imagine the war on the streets of Brooklyn if both sides were at full strength? That would be a proper brawl and there would have been definite police intervention.

Give Him to Me

Khabib made it very clear that he doesn’t want the police involved. His ideal scenario would be to get to fight the Irishman, wherever and whenever. He outlined to Helwani:

“To be honest, I don’t want him to go to jail,” Nurmagomedov said. “We have to fight. If we have to fight, let’s fight. Send me location. Please, we have to fix this. Me and you. One-on-one. You want 10-on-10? OK.”

Hang on a second… Imagine if this was all just an elaborate UFC Russia marketing ploy that just went very wrong. This is the UFC. This is MMA. It’s highly unlikely, but nothing is impossible.
