Featherweight Champion Max Holloway Has Hilarious Response to Conor McGregor’s New Burger King Promotion…
Conor McGregor reminded everybody that he is the king of self-promotion with the release of a new Burger King advertisement. McGregor is the new face of the Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich. In the video, released across all social media, ‘the Notorious’ flaunts his wealth and says he has finally found a contender “who can bring the real heat.”
Now it is fair to say that the Irishman has probably earned a whole lot of cash for what looks like a very expensive production by Burger King. But that hasn’t stopped UFC fans and fighters from laughing at him for doing it.
None more so than UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway. The Hawaiian was due to fight Frankie Edgar at last weekend’s UFC 222 but had to withdraw with a leg injury. However, that hasn’t stopped him being active on social media. He was very happy to take a moment to laugh at McGregor, who incidentally was the last man to beat him in the octagon.

Cringeworthy
McGregor’s Twitter and Instagram are now filled with cringe-worthy posts like the one above. Obviously, the Irishman will not care about that a bit, because he’s getting a whole lot of money for it. However, it’s still ammunition for his potential future opponents to use against him.
Holloway is one name that’s being consistently linked to McGregor as a potential comeback fight. The featherweight champion is expected to make the move up to lightweight in the future. Anyway, ‘Blessed’ saw the opportunity to attack McGregor on Twitter and took it.
“You went from King of Ireland to King of “chicken”? Looking forward to the two strips meal coming April 7. PS Shout out to the real fighting Irish. The ones who value whats in heart before whats on waist. Hawaii respects you and welcomes you with open arms.”
There are two kings in this picture and only one in the fight game. Forget the rest. Big news on the way. @burgerking. #ad pic.twitter.com/aayNQuFDxP

Rising Star
‘Blessed’ is a rising star in the organization. He is riding an incredible twelve fight win streak in the UFC. He is expected to defend his title against Brian Ortega in an eagerly anticipated match-up of striker vs grappler. Holloway took the opportunity to self-promote, saying:
“Yo @Wendys if you need a fighter whos about the REAL BEEF in your burgers you know who to call.”
He’s really getting quite good at this you know. Holloway has come a long way from that night in Boston, back in 2013, when McGregor dominated him to win by decision.
The Real King
Let’s not forget that the Irishman is the richest active fighter in the world. Holloway’s tweets are hilarious, but at the end of the day, McGregor is one of the most valuable commodities in sport. The Hawaiian has a long way to go before his name transcends MMA in the same way that McGregor’s does.
Incidentally, McGregor could overtake Cristiano Ronaldo as the most lucrative sportsman in the world. The Forbes list is expected to be updated soon and the Irishman has said that he’s very interested to see it. With a UFC return expected this year, it could be another big one for the ‘Notorious’.
