It will be a fan-friendly fight that guarantees fireworks. Both fighters are known to give fireworks whether they win or lose. Both came from a high-level wrestling background but are also heavy-handed. Chandler has been a powerful powerhouse and was so close to becoming the lightweight champion but fell short.
They both are coming off a title shot loss and are looking to get back in the winning column, the question is who will it be? It is a type of fight that even the non-MMA fans would enjoy watching.
Chandler is known to start strong and finish the fight, will Gaethje be able to handle that? As for MMA wrestling, Chandler has known to use it more, he survived and even recovered when Oliveira was at his back, meanwhile, Gaethje did not know what to do when Khabib grappled with him. Gaethje may have great wrestling defense but his BJJ needs work.
Gaethje’s leg kick is also important and might be his key to beating most of his opponents. Lately, Gaethje has been finishing guys early in a brutal fashion. Let us just hope the fight happens as this is a type of fight that guarantees fireworks, it may end in the first round or it might be a 5 round war.
