Last night/this morning’s UFC Fight Night 110 was an awesome spectacle. Packed with well known names and local talent, the free-to-air card delivered in a big way. Obviously a lot of eyeballs were drawn to the main event, but there were plenty of other top notch scraps.
Featured just before the co-main event of the evening was local favourite Dan ‘Hangman’ Hooker. Having lost his last fight in 2016 against Jason Knight, Hooker was hoping to impress the home crowd.
Impress them he did…
Hooker Devastates Pearson
Going up against a durable boxer like Ross Pearson is no easy task. Although a gatekeeper, Pearson is experienced with now 21 fights in the UFC, and has wins over Ryan Couture, Sam Stout and Paul Felder, to name a few.
‘Hangman’ was on top form, though, and took out Pearson with a crushing knee to the jaw. As the Brit looked to find his rhythm with some crisp punches, Hooker ended it all in an instant.

Big Night For Mark Hunt
In many ways, his main event tilt with Derrick Lewis was make or break for Mark Hunt. With an active lawsuit against the UFC over Brock Lesnars drug test debacle, the ageing ‘Super Samoan’ really needed a win.
