Two Belts
As far back as 2014 when he was only two fights into his UFC career, Conor McGregor was already predicting that he’d win not one, but two titles in the promotion.
“Two belts and shares in the company,” ‘The Notorious’ stated on Twitter about his future in the UFC.
It was a bold statement given that very few fighters had ever accomplished such a feat in the history of the UFC at that time.
McGregor would go on to claim his first title at featherweight the following year, while in 2016 he added the lightweight title to his collection and in doing so made history by becoming the first fighter to hold two belts at the same time.
Shares in the company has been harder to come by however, although with McGregor claiming he’ll make $80 million from his latest fight with Donald Cerrone, it’s fair to say he’s still doing alright for himself!
