Nick Diaz had a brief but stern warning for Yoel Romero…

Nick Diaz is a hard guy to find sometimes. He often doesn’t show up for media commitments, press conferences, and he hasn’t fought in close to 3 years. One place you can find Nick Diaz, however, appears to be the comments section of social media posts. That’s where Nick posted a brief but stern warning directed at Yoel Romero.

That Nick Diaz sightings are becoming increasingly rare is not surprising. Both Diaz brothers try to keep a low-profile, although this is difficult given their popularity. For the most part, however, both Nick and Nate stick to training, attending events in the marijuana industry, and evidently commenting on Instagram posts. They don’t seek the spotlight in the way Conor McGregor does, although it tends to find them anyway.

The real question all fans of the Diaz brothers are asking is “When is Nick or Nate going to fight again?”. Unfortunately, that is a question which doesn’t have an answer at the moment.

Will Nick Diaz Fight Again?

As it concerns Nick Diaz, some believe he’ll likely never fight again. The 34-year-old’s last bout was at UFC 183 on January 31, 2015. Diaz was defeated by Anderson Silva that night though the results would be overturned after both competitors failed a drug test. Silva failed for drostanolone and androsterone whereas surprise surprise, Nick Diaz tested positive for marijuana metabolites.

Some have said Nick made enough from his fight with Georges St. Pierre at UFC 167, that he doesn’t have to worry about money. If that is the case, we might never see him in the octagon again.

Rumored Fights for Nick Diaz

Should Nick Diaz decide to return to the cage there are several high-profile bouts which would be waiting for him, however.

Although current UFC welterweight champion, Tyron Woodley, has recently been calling out Nick’s younger brother, a title bout between Woodley and Nick would certainly draw well on PPV.

Another rumoured been out for Diaz should he ever decide to return would be a rematch with George St. Pierre. This was the rumoured bout last year when word first leaked GSP was considering a return to the octagon.

Nick Diaz Let’s Yoel Romero Know What Happens If…

While his comment originally blended in with others, his one-emoji response to the asked question perfectly explains how Nick would handle the situation.

The OP asks their followers what they would do if Yoel Romero slapped their woman’s backside and proceeded to say they loved them. Nick’s only response was a picture of a handgun. Evidently, Nick feels the handgun technique would help him overcome the size disadvantage he would have in a bout with Romero. Handguns are not currently legal in MMA… even in Rizin!

Unfortunately for those hoping for a Nick Diaz return to the cage soon, there is nothing on the horizon which suggests this is in the works. The chances of Nate stepping in the cage are far greater, however, especially considering the lengths Woodley appears to be willing to go to get a money-fight with him.

“I’m fired up about people that tell you ‘Don’t be scared, homie,’ and then they’re scared, homie! That’s what I’m fired up about,” said Woodley.

“[It’s] not a possible fight, [it’s] a 50-percent completed fight. You got one half of the party that’s been offered, that’s accepted, that’s out here with their bag at Wildcard Boxing getting punched by world champions and then you got the other side that’s got a whole bunch of excuses. So that’s what I’m kind of fired up about.”
