Conor McGregor might have gotten in over his head this time…
In the span of just a few weeks, Conor McGregor has jumped the cage at an MMA event, shoved a referee, and now is getting in brawls with Irish gangsters. One has to wonder how long this trend will be able to continue until something drastic happens.
Conor seemingly confirmed suspicions that he is the “well-known Irish sports celebrity” being talked about in the news yesterday on Instagram. His ominous post referred to himself only as “the celebrity”. Now, a photo of the alleged gangster Conor brawled with has been leaked online.
Dana White seems frustrated by the UFC lightweight champ, but not for his brushes with organized crime. White expressed that Conor is showing little interest in fighting right now.
“We were working on a fight for him at the end of the year, and he’s just not ready,” White said. “We’re still in that ‘Conor might never fight again’ (phase). The guy’s got a f–king $100 million. I’ve got guys who have made less than that, who were lawyers their whole lives and quit working. … And fighting is the worst. Try to get up and get punched in the face for a living when you’ve got $100 million in the bank.”
Has Conor Lost His Mind?
A 9-digit bank account, fast cars, and seemingly no-accountability whatsoever can be a dangerous combination for celebrities. Especially for celebrities with a flair for the dramatic like Conor.
Some are calling for Conor to be stripped of his championship and are citing Jon Jones losing his title after his hit-and-run incident.

Dana White Doesn’t Believe the Rumors
Some are doubtful that any of these stories are even true, however. The police say they are “aware of the situation” but there is also the possibility that no situation has occurred at all.
Here’s what Dana White had to say on the matter:
“I don’t think it’s true,” White said. “Because if it was true, it would be big. Conor can walk down the street and it’s big news now. If this were true, I just have to believe it would be off-the-charts crazy. If it’s true, we’ll end up finding out. I can’t chase all these things around.”
Photo of Alleged Conor McGregor Assault Victim Surfaces
The man in the photo above is famed Irish gangster, Graham “The Wig” Whelan. At the moment, there are conflicting reports regarding if Conor punched Whelan, an associate of Whelan’s, or even in a few reports, Whelan’s father. If true, Conor could be in some hot water, much hotter water than he’s in for shoving Marc Goddard.
Conor and his team would have had to go to great lengths to stage an incident such as this but that is not to say they couldn’t or wouldn’t do exactly that.
The UFC lightweight champion always seems to find a way to keep himself in the spotlight. He seems to do this more when he doesn’t’ have a fight upcoming as well. Could this have just been a big publicity stunt for that purpose?
