Kevin Lee And Dillon Danis Aren’t Exactly Quiet… The Two Men Have Had a Back to Forth on Social Media… And The Result is Very Interesting…
Two of the most hyped fighters in MMA have been going back-and-forth on social media since Tuesday, and it’s just heated up. Kevin Lee AKA ‘The Motown Phenom’ and Dillon Danis AKA Walmart Conor McGregor are openly feuding on social media. But it’s just got genuinely interesting.
Lee is one of the most exciting fighters in the lightweight division. He bounced back from an interim title fight loss to Tony Ferguson by brutally beating Edson Barboza. While his personality grates a lot of fans, with many openly jeering his desire for a 165lb division, he’s genuinely a very good all-around fighter.
Meanwhile, Danis is best known for his close friendship with Conor McGregor. However, all joking aside, he is genuinely an elite grappler and a former no-gi world champion. He’s currently on the books of Bellator and is 1-0 in his MMA career.

It all kicked off after Lee openly scoffed at Danis’s ground game. He appeared on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show and had very little time for the New York native’s capabilities on the mats. He said:
“Yeah, we rolled together a few times. Ask him. Ask him. You ask him. Tell Conor to ask him and see if he give you the real of how he feelabout me or what happened between us because I know Conor kind of look up to Dillon a little bit. Think he hot shit, he’s all this black belt and all this. Ask him what the real is and see if he tell you the truth.”
Hmmm… it would be very interesting to see who is actually the better of the two wouldn’t it? Well, that’s what Danis thinks as well.
Danis has officially offered Lee the opportunity to put his money where his mouth is. Let’s be honest, Danis has been a victim of his friendship with McGregor. He’s trying to unleash his own personality, and at times it appears cringe-worthy because it seems like he’s trying to emulate the Notorious too much. This time he got the fans on his side. He wrote:
“If what you say is true @MoTownPhenom, then let’s roll on Instagram live – we both put up 100k cash winner takes all. Only way to win is by submission #easymoney.”
Woah, well that escalated quickly.

There’s nothing like a game of high stakes to get people excited. Do either of these men have 100k to risk throwing away? Probably not. That just makes it all the better. And what a great idea… rolling on Instagram Live. This could actually start a trend of challenges between fighters, and thanks to the Ali code, they wouldn’t be breaching contracts.
Like a total legend, Lee had two words in response:
