Now This is Interesting… Nick Diaz Has Called Out Daniel Cormier After Slating His WWE Antics With Brock Lesnar After UFC 226…

Never change Nick Diaz – at least when it comes to the MMA world. His private life might be a mess right now, but the UFC really needs a character like him or his younger brother Nate back right now, to give the company a proper lift.

Diaz hasn’t fought since he was suspended after his match-up with Anderson Silva back in 2015. Both men were banned, with the Californian ludicrously hit with a 5-year suspension after testing positive for marijuana for the second time. That was reduced on appeal and now he’s looking to make his comeback.

Believe it or not, ‘Champ-Champ’ Daniel Cormier is the man in his sights. The light-heavyweight and new heavyweight champion bore the brunt of a lengthy Instagram post by Diaz, who wants the UFC brought back to the good old days. He’s the man ready to bring it back.

Diaz Time

Diaz is not impressed at all by all the UFC’s plummet into WWE style antics. With the Stockton native and his crew, it’s all about keeping it real. In his lengthy post he wrote:

“Sick of this all this baddest man on the planet B.S. I’ll fight for any title at any weight,” Diaz said. “UFC wants to make B.S. WWF fights with guys that fight like s–t and put on an act. Daniel Cormier would look way worse than I do in this pic if he fought Anderson the way I did but instead he decided to wrestle f–k him for five rounds in front of his whole life and still almost got finished off in the last round with Silva only having two or three weeks notice.

Dana White should give me this fight instead of d–k chest Brock Lesnar’s cheating ass. Don’t be scared homie. Nothing personal. I love DC but I don’t like what he does constantly, embarrassed for him and the sport. I doing MMA because it’s not WWF and I’ve never put on a B.S. act in my life. I’m sure fans would like to see a real fight.”

Say What?

OK, let’s be real for a moment. Nick Diaz has definitely just called out Daniel Cormier. The same Nick Diaz who has fought at welterweight and middleweight in his career. The man that Michael Bisping said might be just a bit too small for him to fight. And he wants to take on DC?

I say do it. Can you imagine it? Whether or not he gets obliterated it would be hilarious. Let him go in there high off of his face, and take the punches. He’ll feel nothing. DC won’t know what’s happening. This has to be booked. Lesnar can go back to the WWE.

Mixed Response

In all seriousness, there was definitely a very mixed response to the antics that went on after Daniel Cormier knocked out Stipe Miocic to become only the second fighter to hold two titles simultaneously. Cormier has actually since apologized to Miocic for the lack of respect shown to the most successful heavyweight champion in the history of the UFC.

Would you actually like to see Diaz fight DC? Or do you just think he’s just trying to stay relevant?
