This man is a total legend… Let’s hope he makes a full recovery…
Randy Couture is a true pioneer of MMA. The former heavyweight and light-heavyweight champion of the world is one of the greatest fighters in UFC history. In total, he’s a six-time champion. That’s quite simply astounding. He also competed in a record 16 title fights and is the oldest UFC champion of all-time.
Couture was renowned for his clinch and ground-and-pound style. It wasn’t the prettiest but boy, was it effective. The Hall-of-Famer beat the likes of Chuck Liddell, Tito Ortiz and Tim Sylvia in his glittering career. Furthermore, he’s the only UFC champion have won a title after becoming a Hall-of-Famer.
Now 56 years old, Couture has been keeping busy. He runs his gym, XTreme Couture, and is a consistent figure on television. However, the news has emerged that he is now recovering from a heart attack. Let’s wish him all the best.
Yes, Randy had a heart attack yesterday, it’s an issue with him having naturally but unusually thick blood. We’ve been in the hospital for tests and observation and he is recovering well.

Full Recovery
The champ’s girlfriend Mindy Robinson explained the situation to the media. In short, he’s expected to make a full recovery which is great news. The craziest part of this is that Couture didn’t just suffer a heart attack, he walked to the hospital afterwards. No wonder this guy was a UFC champion. Robinson explained:
“Yes, Randy had a heart attack yesterday, it’s an issue with him having naturally but unusually thick blood. We’ve been in the hospital for tests and observation and he is recovering well. He has and always will be…the toughest man I know.”
That is fantastic news.

Discomfort
According to TMZ, Couture checked himself into the hospital after suffering discomfort during a training session at Unbreakable MMA Gym. They confirmed that he had indeed suffered a heart attack. The PFL broadcaster couldn’t have known how dangerous the situation was or surely he’d have just got an Uber? However, it’s believed that he did spot it and decided to walk to the medical facility.
Whatever the situation was, it just shows how tough ‘Captain America.’ You have to respect it from one of the greatest ambassadors for MMA.
