Nominee #2: Yoel Romero
Yoel Romero has been frequently accused of cheating in the UFC, and until this week his biggest controversy was the UFC 178 ‘stoolgate.’ Romero says he couldn’t understand the referee John McCarthy ordering him back to action in the final round against Tim Kennedy, and had an additional 10 seconds rest between rounds.
Coming back to KO Kennedy that night, Romero has also been accused of grabbing the fence, throwing a fight during his time as an Olympian, and ost recently failed a USADA drug test. The word is he got popped for a designer steroid.

Nominee #3: Anderson Silva
Even after his duo of shocking 2013 losses to Chris Weidman, former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva was still one of the most respected and revered characters in mixed martial arts history.
His 10-year reign as the king of the division showed some highlight reel finishes that will probably never be equalled, but 2015 was a very different kind of year for ‘The Spider.’ Following his comeback at UFC 183 against Nick Diaz, it was revealed that the Brazilian legend had failed a drug test for steroids.
His legacy under serious threat, Silva would go in front of the governing body of MMA in Nevada, The NSAC, to plead his case. Here was his chance to make amends for his wrong doing, and perhaps salvage some of his reputation.
Unfortunately for Silva and his fans, the former champ concocted an obvious lie for the commission, claiming he’d taken a viagra vile sent from his ‘friend in Thailand’ that must have contained some sort of banned substance.
The NSAC ripped Silva’s story to pieces, as clearly the timelines didn’t match, and suddenly Silva’s reputation was in tatters. Perhaps not the biggest case of known cheating, but undoubtedly one of the biggest scumbag moves of all time.
