Yoel Romero has beaten the best of the best in the middleweight division and is sporting a 7-0 record in the UFC. He’s beaten Tim Kennedy (after taking a long rest on his stool), Jacare Souza, and Lyoto Machida, yet you won’t find him ranked in UFC’s top 15. That’s because after beating Souza at UFC 194 he shocked nobody by failing a drug test.
Romero will be back sooner than initially expected however, as his suspension was reduced from 2 years to 6 months after he was able to provide USADA with the tainted supplement which caused his failed drug test.
