Johnny Hendricks

When GSP fought Johny Hendricks at UFC 167 many people felt he got robbed out of the title win.  Those that were following what was going on leading up to the fight didn’t exactly feel Hendricks was the one who got cheated out of anything.

GSP offered to pay for extensive drug testing for both he and Hendricks leading up to the fight but conveniently Hendricks didn’t want to go with the more advanced testing run by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA).  Hendricks’ camp said they were uneasy with the advanced testing and declined to take part, even if GSP was willing to pay.

Hendricks did take part in testing run by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, which up until USADA took over hadn’t exactly been doing a bang-up job of catching people juicing.

GSP chose to step away from the sport after this fight, with many close to him believing that he was doing so because of the influence PEDs were having on the sport.  Now that USADA is drug testing athletes GSP wants back in.

Hendricks’ only fight in the USADA testing era is a loss to Stephen Thompson, and you can probably expect those losses to keep on coming in for the significantly less-ripped Hendricks.
